I love to blend my cottage cheese to make a high-protein dip that’s creamy, satisfying, and totally versatile. Why is this dip better than many other dips? Because it’s packed with protein (but just as, if not more, delicious!), helping you feel fuller and more satisfied for longer. Unlike traditional creamy dips that can be loaded with added fats or sugars, this cottage cheese dip offers a lighter, nutrient-dense alternative that doesn’t compromise on flavor. I can eat this dip with basically anything, but my favorites are crunchy tortilla chips and fresh bell pepper slices!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup cottage cheese (choose lower-fat or lactose-free if needed)
1/2 cup cilantro, lightly packed
1-2 chipotle peppers (from a can of chipotles in adobo sauce) – adjust for spice
2 garlic cloves
3 tsp lime juice
Instructions:
Add to Blender
Put cottage cheese, cilantro, chipotle peppers, garlic, and lime juice in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Serve and Enjoy
Perfect for dipping with veggies, chips, or adding as a spread!
Notes:
For lower saturated fat: Opt for lower-fat cottage cheese.
For lower sodium: Swap cottage cheese for Greek yogurt (may be less savory).
For lactose intolerance: Use lactose-free cottage cheese.
Any recommendation for someone who has that cilantro-is-soap taste gene? Just omit or a good substitute?
