Ingredients
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp water
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
6 oz beef (such as sirloin), thinly sliced
1 cup rice, rinsed
1 cup water
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1/2 cup carrots, diced
1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup frozen corn
1 tbsp butter (optional, for a more "authentic" taste)
Sliced green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Make the Marinade
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, water, minced garlic, and black pepper.
Marinate the Beef
Add sliced beef to the marinade. Stir to coat well and set aside to marinate.
Prepare Rice and Vegetables
Rinse the rice and add it to the rice cooker with 1 cup of water.
Add diced onion, carrots, bell pepper, and frozen corn on top of the rice.
Optional: Add a small pat of butter (about 1 tbsp) for extra flavor.
Cook
Turn the rice cooker on and let it cook.
Finish and Serve
Once the rice cooker is done, garnish with sliced green onions if desired and serve hot.
Do you also add the steak as it isn’t stated? I just want to make sure.
This was so delicious. I added the beef about 15 minutes before the rice and veggies were done so it wouldn’t overcook.
